Our story

Our mom started it all by taking us to every garage sale, thrift store and flea market she could find with all 5 kids in tow. We would all pile in our OLD FORD Truck.. and jump out as soon as she stopped to see what we could find. Growing up in a small town in Washington State with very little money... Mom had to do the best she could with what we had. As we grew we learned all the best junking techniques from our Mom.  At the age of 32, I took the leap and opened my very own vintage store. All the long hours away from my small children took a toll. I wanted to find something that I loved to do without all the long hours, day after day. My older sister and I came up with the perfect plan! We became the Funky Junk Sisters and held a vintage market called "Junk Salvation" that was named one of the top 25 vintage markets in America. Now that 10 years have gone by. We are taking our market to the next level!

Rebel Junk is born!!!

Just a REBEL CHILD with a VINTAGE SOUL. This is me stepping out of the norm. Launching a Chalk Paint line, designing old school style of furniture with my hubby, producing & promoting one of the Best Vintage Markets around and collecting all things vintage!

Along with the markets, we have opened three Storefronts, our flagship shoppe in the beautiful resort town of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho called "Rebel Junk". Nestled along Lake Coeur d' Alene with beautiful views is a sweet town with lots of character. This was the perfect place to start an occasional store... at first opening just one weekend a month, then being asked to open more for everyone to enjoy. Now we have Two in Spokane, Washington which have been open for four years with much success! Junk has taken on a life of it's own... to painting custom furniture, designing furniture for exclusive resort properties, building special displays for other stores located in town or designing one of a kind signs for weddings. Rebel Junk is where you can come shop upcycled and repurposed items. Where recycled vintage channel letters light up the walls, and ever changing decor with "Pinterest" inspiration builds the foundation.

Rebel Junk has styled some major events. Stagecoach Country Music Festival is where you will see some of our designs in the Honky Tonk Hall, the Artist Compound and the VIP lounges. The twist of a little country with a whole lot of funky is where we like to play. Desert Trip was the HOLY GRAIL of design jobs for us! Decorating it up for some major ROCK STARS... The Rolling Stones, Sir Paul McCartney, The Who and Neil Young... just to name a few! We have added Coachella to the list of our ever growing repertoire! NOT TO SHABBY FROM A SMALL TOWN GIRL IN THE BIG WORLD!
